What Were the Results?
Exhibition Day:
- Small adjustments such as battery replacement, further stand alterations
(including oiling of axel shafts)
- Designing sign on white board
- Repeatedly explanation of concept behind the vessel designs and conducting numerous races for the audience’s viewing pleasure.
Minor obstacles: Both boats lost one oar (which were promptly reattached)
- The ‘red-team’ quickly ran out of battery power after having accidentally left the PICO Cricket on over night (this too was also promptly corrected).
- Children kept tampering with the flashlight which had been fixed to shine on the light sensor rigged to trigger the fans. This prompted numerous adjustments.
